Workshop on “Completion of IQAC Sub-Project: B-012” at Dhaka International University
A workshop on “Completion of IQAC Sub-Project: B-012” of Dhaka International University was held on 30 June (Saturday), 2018 at the Dr. M. I. Patwari Auditorium, 66, Green Road, Dhaka. Dr Gauranga Chandra Mohanta, ndc, Project Director (Additional Secretary), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), was present as Chief Guest. In his keynote speech, he firmly expressed the grand success of this Sub-Project as it has been accomplished in the stipulated time frame with more than expected activities. Prof. Dr. Sonjoy Kumar Adhikary, Head, Quality Assurance Unit (QAU), UGC; Dr. Ahamed Tajmeen, QA Specialist, QAU, UGC; and Dr. Mahabub Ahsan Khan, QA Specialist, QAU, UGC, were present as Special Guests. Prof. Adhikary had a slide presentation with an expression of the reality, limitations, challenges and the lit possibilities for the continuation of this sub-project at the university. Dr. S. Quadir Patwari, Honorable Chairman, BoT, DIU; Adv. S. K. Patwari, Member, BoT, DIU; Prof. Dr. Md. Mainul Islam, Treasurer, DIU; Prof. Md. Rofiqul Islam, Registrar, DIU; Prof. Dr. A. W. M. Abdul Huq, Dean, Faculty of Law & Justice; Prof. Dr. Shawkat Ara Husain, Dean, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, DIU; Prof. Dr. A. T. M. Mahabubur Rahaman Sarker, Dean, Faculty of Science & Engineering, DIU spoke their different angled notions and views for the sustainable continuation of the sub-project. More than 120 faculties from different departments of the university attended the workshop. Here it is noted that Dr. Md. Serajul Islam Prodhan, Director, IQAC, DIU gave a brief presentation on the three-year-long IQAC activities and achievements while Md. Abdul Based, Associate Prof. Dept. of CSE & Head Self Assessment Committee (SAC) delivered a presentation on the Impacts & Challenges experienced & to be faced in near future respectively. The program was presided over by Prof. Dr. K. M. Mohsin, Vice-Chancellor & Head, Quality Assurance Committee (QAC), DIU and was conducted by Mily Sultana, Additional Director, IQAC, DIU.
