Dhaka International University Signed a MoU With Sushant University, India and had a Exposure Visit
A twenty three member delegation team led by Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, MP and Chairman, Board of Trustees, Dhaka International University (DIU) returned from India on 28 September after signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sushant University (SU), Delhi. The objective of MoU is to establish and promote academic exchange and research programmes between the two higher education institutions. Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Registrar, SU and Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary signed the MoU on behalf of their respective universities. Prof. Dr. Serajul Islam Prodhan, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Prof. Abdul Based, Additional Director, Research and Publication Cell, Assistant Professor Raisul Islam Sourav, Additional Director, IQAC of DIU and Prof. Dr. Kanu Priya, Dr. Jagbir Singh Dahiya of SU were present among others at this moment. DIU Chairman Barrister Shameem Haider Patwary, MP thanked the top management of SU and Prof. Dr. Kanu Priya for facilitating the MoU. After the MoU, the team joined a seminar on ‘Unveiling the Boundaries in Higher Education’ at the SU auditorium while Barrister Shameeem Haider Patwary, MP addressed the audience as chief guest. At this time he focused on the heritage of higher education in Indian region and emphasized on the significance of making collaboration among higher education institutions. He said faculty members and students will be benefited by the MoU. The faculties, students and staff to make them as global standard by utilizing the training and exchange programme conducted by SU, Delhi India, he urged. They have to equip themselves with moral values for achieving goals, he added. According to the MoU, SU and DIU will do collaborative research together, faculties and students will be exchanged regularly between these two varsities and other activities will take place to enhance the standard of education. The team visited many historical places in Kashmir and Delhi. During the visit the team visited remarkable places of Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmurg of Kashmir and Qutub Minar, Humayun’s Tomb, Safdar Jung Tomb, Lodi Garden, Jama Masjid, Ajmir Sharif, Nizamuddin Sharif etc of Delhi. The aim of this tour was to enrich faculty and students with the higher education system in India and cultural diversity of SAARC region. This is a regular programme initiated by Dhaka International University where faculty and students get chance to visit foreign countries to gather experience from different heritages. Every year DIU arranges international tour for its faculty and students to enable them to compare their expertise with global standard.
